Islanders had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-2 win over Boston Bandits.

Keith Barnaby was all over the ice for Islanders, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Barnaby scored the first of his two goals at 11:38 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Justin Fisher picked up the assist. Barnaby's next tally made the score 6-2 Islanders with 4:26 left in the third period. Islanders earned a power play opportunity when Aharon Lara was put in the box for interference. Kirill Frolov assisted on the tally.

Islanders pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

Islanders put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Boston Bandits to score on any of its seven power plays. Islanders outdid its season average for goals scored. Islanders averages 3.3 goals per game.

Islanders also got points from Christopher Maksut, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and David Wilcox, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Islanders also got a goal from Andrew Newis as well. More assists for Islanders came via Jonathan Pate and Alfonso Diaz, who each chipped in one.

Boston Bandits' offense operated below it season average. Boston Bandits averages 4.9 goals per game.

Boston Bandits was helped by Corbett McLucas, who had one goal. McLucas scored 8:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Boston Bandits. Connor Court provided the assist. Brandon Seal also scored for Boston Bandits. In addition, Boston Bandits received assists from Ian Drexler and Matthew Grzybinski, who contributed one a piece.

Michael Kitts rejected 16 shots on goal for Islanders. Islanders registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Ryan McCarthy made 20 saves for Boston Bandits on 26 shots. Boston Bandits incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
