Zach Koonce gave Junior Bruins a 4-3 (OT) victory over the South Shore Kings when he scored 30 seconds into the extra period. Junior Bruins came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Junior Bruins was down 2-0 after a goal by South Shore's Nicholas Bertoni at 9:10 in the first period. Junior Bruins knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Vince DAmato at 7:23 in the third period. Junior Bruins was led by Koonce, who tallied one goal. Junior Bruins stifled the Kings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Junior Bruins' offense rang up 33 shots on South Shore's net. Cam Cottam also scored for Junior Bruins. More assists for Junior Bruins came via Kyle Webb and Jeremy Hannah, who contributed one a piece. South Shore also got a goal from Stephen Rocchio as well. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore were Evan Jacques, who had two and Paul Marino, Kyle Johnson, and Christopher Oliveira, who each chipped in one. Sam Dargene rejected 22 shots on goal for Junior Bruins. Junior Bruins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Kings' Kory LeBlanc stopped 29 shots out of the 33 that he faced. South Shore incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
