The Philadelphia Revolution and the Frederick Freeze were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Philadelphia made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Alex Dyer secured the win for the Revolution with a goal in the second period. Dyer had two goals to lead Philadelphia to victory. The Revolution put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Frederick to score on any of its three power plays. The Freeze were unable to stop Philadelphia from sending pucks towards the net, and the Revolution eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Philadelphia also got a goal from Ethan Weiss as well. Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia were Clint Aussprung, who had two and Travis Kauffman, Connor Bechtel, and Zachary England, who contributed one a piece. Frederick did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Freeze put an average of 5.0 pucks into the net per game. Frederick was helped by Richard Novodomec, who tallied one goal. Novodomec scored 18:20 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Philadelphia. Adam Taylor assisted on the tally. Reid Bibb also scored for Frederick. More assists for Frederick came via Ryley Harper, Ian Soifer, and Florian Cotera, who each chipped in one. Jared Burch recorded 28 saves for Philadelphia. The Revolution incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Freeze's Daniel Dolliver stopped 33 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Frederick incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. |
