Bertoni's goals lift South Shore to 7-3 victory over ConnecticutFoxboro Rink 1 Wed, Feb 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The South Shore Kings relied on the scoring touch of Nicholas Bertoni, who netted two goals, to beat the Connecticut Oilers, 7-3. Bertoni's tallies came on the power play at 11:32 into the second period to make the score 4-3 South Shore and 14:37 into the second to make the score 6-3 South Shore.South Shore kept Connecticut's goalie busy throughout the game, and Christopher Bastone made 30 saves on 37 shots. The Kings' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. South Shore also got points from Paul Marino, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. South Shore also got a goal from William Cara-Donna as well. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore were Philip Falkof, who had two, Christopher Oliveira, who had three, and Stephen Rocchio, Dylan B Burns, Brandyn Fogarty, Owen Campbell, Evan Jacques, and Dylan_P Burns, who contributed one a piece. The Oilers were led by Todd Brown, who registered three goals. In addition, Connecticut received assists from Stephan Seeger, Connor Dahlman, Tommy Green, and Thomas Worsfold, who each chipped in one. Kory LeBlanc recorded 15 saves for South Shore. The Kings incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Connecticut totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play. For the Oilers, Brown was ejected from the game.
