Jersey Hitmen squeaks by Philadelphia, 3-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Jersey Hitmen escaped with a 3-2 victory over the Philadelphia Revolution.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Glenn Florczak secured the win for Jersey Hitmen with a goal in the third period.

Florczak had two goals to lead Jersey Hitmen to victory.

Jersey Hitmen forced Philadelphia goalie Jared Burch to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Cody Calcagno also scored for Jersey Hitmen. In addition, Jersey Hitmen received assists from James Martello and Luke Rodgers, who contributed three a piece.

The Revolution could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Philadelphia puts an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game. Jersey Hitmen was unable to stop the Revolution from sending pucks towards the net, and Philadelphia eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

The Revolution were led by Alex Dyer, who tallied one goal and one assist. Dyer scored on the power play 1:18 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Clint Aussprung provided the assist. Philadelphia also got a goal from Travis Kauffman as well. Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia were Connor Bechtel, who had one.

Jordan Hulahan recorded 30 saves for Jersey Hitmen. Jersey Hitmen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Philadelphia's Burch stopped 35 shots out of the 38 that he faced. The Revolution incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
