Owen Campbell netted a hat trick to lead the South Shore Kings over the Connecticut Oilers, 12-1. Campbell notched his first tally 10:45 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:19 into the first and at 16:31 into the first.South Shore kept Connecticut's goalie busy throughout the game, and Millendorf made 26 saves on 38 shots. The Kings' goal total was higher than their season average. South Shore averages 5.2 goals per game. The Kings' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. South Shore additionally got points from Daniel Clifford, who also grabbed three goals and two assists, Evan Jacques, who also registered one goal and six assists to lead the team in points, and Dylan_P Burns, who also finished with one goal and one assist. South Shore also got a goal from William Cara-Donna as well. In addition, South Shore received assists from Stephen Rocchio, who had two and Paul Marino, Derek Johnson, Brandyn Fogarty, Christopher Oliveira, and Kyle Peterson, who each chipped in one. The Oilers stifled South Shore's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. James Dunn rejected 24 shots on goal for the Kings. South Shore finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-3 with the man advantage. Connecticut incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors and had no power play opportunities.
