Suffolk holds on for 4-3 win against Brewster

The Brewster Bulldogs tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Suffolk Juniors would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

A goal by Michael Martino put Suffolk up 4-2 in the third period, but Brewster pulled to within one on Jonathan Lovorn's tally 19:56 into the third period.

The Juniors were paced by Martino, who grabbed one goal. Martino scored 19:19 into the third period to make the score Suffolk.

Suffolk also got points from Tyler Murphy, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Benjamin Sorkin, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Suffolk also got a goal from Christopher Seeback as well. More assists for Suffolk came via Cameron Smith, Donato Cipriano, Matthew Gault, and Evan Schwartz, who contributed one a piece.

Suffolk was unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Brewster eventually piled up 34 shots on goal. The Bulldogs got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Brewster additionally got points from Thomas Kirincic, who also registered one goal and one assist and Kevin McGee, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Brewster were Francesco Sherding, Sean Henderson, and Brian Schiff, who each chipped in one.

Peter Fosso rejected 31 shots on goal for the Juniors. Suffolk incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Conor Bunyan recorded 25 saves for Brewster. The Bulldogs incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
