Bay State erases deficit to stun South Shore, 5-4

The South Shore Kings could not hold down the Bay State Breakers, and Breakers erased a four-goal deficit en route to a 5-4 win.

Bay State never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Breakers was down 4-0 after a goal by South Shore's Dylan B Burns at 2:50 in the second period. Bay State knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Charles Murphy at 9:50 in the third period. The Breakers netted the game winner at 19:14 in the third period on a goal by Murphy.

Bay State excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Breakers got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed four goals during the game.

Bay State was led by Gavin Yates, who registered three goals. Bay State also got a goal from Nicholas Russo as well. More assists for Bay State came via John Duranczyk, Christopher Perry, Ryan ODonnell, Dan Gibbons, Bradley Power, and Andrew Contillo, who contributed one a piece and Henry Nelson and Kevin Sheehan, who each chipped in two.

The Kings forced the Breakers goalie Redmund Hunt to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots. South Shore could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Kings were helped by Owen Campbell, who finished with one goal. Campbell scored 14:16 into the first period to make the score 1-0 South Shore. Arturs Buss assisted on the tally. Nicholas Bertoni also scored for South Shore. In addition, South Shore received assists from Kevin Divver, Corey Flynn, Philip Falkof, Kyle Johnson, Evan Jacques, Dylan_P Burns, and JB Sweeney, who contributed one a piece.

Hunt rejected 45 shots on goal for Bay State. The Breakers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. James Dunn recorded 24 saves for South Shore.
