Philadelphia beats Jersey Wildcats 11-3 as Hayden gets hat trick

Jersey Wildcats could not stop the Philadelphia Revolution's William Hayden, who tallied a hat trick in an 11-3 win.

Hayden notched his first tally 18:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:03 into the second and at 10:56 into the second.

Philadelphia racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with seven minors and one major for 49 minutes in penalty time. The Revolution surpassed its season average of 20.0 penalty minutes per game. Philadelphia made Jersey Wildcats' goaltenders to work without much rest, finishing with 60 shots and forcing 49 saves. Gennaro Anzevino made 11 stops and Grant Perry made 38. The Revolution's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Jersey Wildcats power plays. Philadelphia bested its season scoring average. This season, the Revolution average 5.0 goals per contest. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Philadelphia additionally got points from Alex Dyer, who also tallied two goals and three assists and Zachary England, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Philadelphia also got a goal from Joseph Keenan as well. Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia were Chris Connor, who had two, Connor Bechtel, who had six, and Travis Kauffman, Kyle Crane, and Anthony Carbone, who each chipped in one.

Jersey Wildcats was often in penalty trouble, totaling 10 minors and one major for 35 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 13.0 minutes per game Jersey Wildcats had been spending in the box. Jersey Wildcats forced Philadelphia's netminders to work all game long, ripping 33 shots and forcing 30 saves. Jared Burch made 30 stops and Christopher DAlessio made zero.

Jersey Wildcats was led by Lucas Moser, who finished with one goal. Moser scored 13:06 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Ryan Strapp picked up the assist. Joseph Rametta also scored for Jersey Wildcats. In addition, Jersey Wildcats received assists from Alexander Wizna and Ryan Morse, who contributed one a piece.

The Revolution registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. For Philadelphia, Ethan Weiss was ejected from the game. Jersey Wildcats ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Anzevino was ejected from the game.
