The New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' Ross Mandigo had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-2 win over the Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester). Mandigo found the back of the net short handed 5:44 into the third period to make the score 3-1 New Hampshire and again while 17:06 into the third to make the score 6-1 New Hampshire.New Hampshire pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 37 penalty minutes. The Jr Monarchs forced Maksymum's goaltenders to work all game long, firing 51 shots and forcing 45 saves. Ian Sylves made 39 stops and Ryan Morey made six. New Hampshire additionally got points from Shane Tracy, who also tallied one goal and one assist. New Hampshire also had goals scored by Connor Merrick, who had one and Brent Beaudoin, who had two. More assists for New Hampshire came via Brian Greene and Nate OBrien, who contributed one a piece. New Hampshire was unable to stop the Junior Hockey (Rochester) from sending pucks towards the net, and Maksymum eventually piled up 50 shots on goal. Team could not crack the Jr Monarchs' penalty kill and was held to one power play goal while having nine opportunities to play with the man advantage. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 28 penalty minutes. Maksymum was led by William Holbrook, who racked up two goals. Holbrook scored the first of his two goals short handed at 9:48 into the second period to make the score 2-1 New Hampshire. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) found themselves down a man on Mikel Williams's cross checking. Michael Whitehair provided the assist. Holbrook's next tally short handed made the score 6-2 New Hampshire with 2:44 left in the third period. Maksymum had gained a power play chance when Timothy Ward was whistled for roughing. Holvey picked up the assist. New Hampshire's Dylan Palmer stopped 48 shots out of the 50 that he faced. The Jr Monarchs registered one goal on six power play opportunities.
