Philadelphia rips Jersey Wildcats, 8-1

The Philadelphia Revolution were firing on all cylinders against Jersey Wildcats, and when the final buzzer sounded Revolution emerged with an 8-1 win.

Nicholas Minerva had a great game for Philadelphia, netting two goals. Minerva scored on the power play at 9:49 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Philadelphia and again while 18:14 into the second to make the score 6-1 Philadelphia.

The Revolution were led by goalie Christopher DAlessio, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Despite the solid performance, DAlessio will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 0.95 entering the contest.

Philadelphia made Jersey Wildcats' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, totaling 52 shots and forcing 44 saves. Grant Perry made 35 stops and Gennaro Anzevino made nine. The Revolution's goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Philadelphia averages 5.0 goals per contest. The Revolution got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed three goals during the game.

Philadelphia additionally got points from Travis Kauffman, who also tallied one goal and two assists, William Hayden, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Justin Goldstein, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Chris Connor, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Zachary England, who also had one goal and one assist. Philadelphia also got a goal from Taylor Glanding as well. In addition, Philadelphia received assists from Anthony Carbone, who had one, Dylan Pearl, who had two, and Connor Bechtel, who had three.

Jersey Wildcats did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Jersey Wildcats puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game.

Jersey Wildcats was led by Ryan Demgard, who scored the team's only goal. Demgard scored 9:15 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Philadelphia. Cory DeCosta picked up the assist.
