Philadelphia downs Syracuse, 3-0Warwick Ice Rink 1 Sun, Jan 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
Dylan Pearl had one point to lead the Philadelphia Revolution to a 3-0 victory over the Syracuse Junior Stars. Philadelphia put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Syracuse to score on any of its five power plays. The Revolution kept the Junior Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Matt Schneider made 45 saves on 48 shots. Philadelphia also got points from Justin Goldstein, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Chris Connor, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Philadelphia received assists from Donald Willier and Josh Suboyu, who contributed one a piece. Syracuse's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Philadelphia power plays. The Junior Stars could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Syracuse puts an average of 3.2 pucks into the net per game. Griffin Strain recorded 18 saves for Philadelphia. The Revolution incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Junior Stars incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
