New Hampshire rolls over Bay State, 6-2Tri-Town Rink Sun, Jan 20, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The New Hampshire Jr Monarchs were firing on all cylinders against the Bay State Breakers, and when the final buzzer sounded Jr Monarchs emerged with a 6-2 win. Brett Boyer had a great game for New Hampshire, netting two goals. Boyer's tallies came at 13:10 into the first period to make the score 3-2 New Hampshire and 37 seconds into the third to make the score 5-2 New Hampshire. The Jr Monarchs pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 35 penalty minutes. New Hampshire's offense rang up 57 shots on Bay State's net. New Hampshire additionally got points from Connor Merrick, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. New Hampshire also got a goal from Ross Mandigo as well. Other players who recorded assists for New Hampshire were Davis Algra, who had two, Shane Tracy, who had three, and Timothy Ward, Brian Greene, Ty Anderson, Daniel Nolte, and Christopher Moquin, who each chipped in one. The Breakers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. Bay State was helped by Bradley Power, who finished with one goal. Power scored on the power play 9:00 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Breakers had gotten the advantage when the Jr Monarchs' Nate Philbrick was sent off for interference. Ryan ODonnell picked up the assist. Nicholas Russo also scored for Bay State. In addition, Bay State received assists from John Duranczyk, Christopher Perry, and Gavin Yates, who contributed one a piece. Cole Burack rejected 28 shots on goal for New Hampshire. The Jr Monarchs registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Bay State's Redmund Hunt stopped 51 shots out of the 57 that he faced. The Breakers registered one goal on seven power play opportunities.
