Syracuse falls to Philadelphia in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

Anthony Carbone gave the Philadelphia Revolution a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Syracuse Junior Stars when he scored 1:22 into the extra period.

Philadelphia overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Revolution was down 2-0 after a goal by Syracuse's Jesse Farabee at 14:48 in the second period. Philadelphia tied things up at 2-2 on a short handed goal by Travis Kauffman at 11:24 in the third period.

The Revolution were led by Carbone, who racked up one goal.

Philadelphia stifled the Junior Stars' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Revolution's offense rang up 45 shots on Syracuse's net. Philadelphia's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Philadelphia additionally got points from Kauffman, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Alex Dyer also scored for Philadelphia. In addition, Philadelphia received assists from Ethan Weiss and Chris Connor, who each chipped in one.

The Junior Stars were helped by Benjamin Engelbrekt, who registered one goal. Engelbrekt scored 12:46 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Syracuse. Joey Rutkowski provided the assist.

Griffin Strain rejected 19 shots on goal for the Revolution. Philadelphia incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Matt Schneider recorded 42 saves for Syracuse. The Junior Stars incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
