Brent Beaudoin netted a hat trick to lead the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs over the Salem Ice Dogs, 19-1. Beaudoin got on the scoresheet 7:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 15:23 into the second and at 9:53 into the third.New Hampshire led 8-1 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after. The Jr Monarchs put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Salem to score on any of its four power plays. New Hampshire kept the Ice Dogs' goalie busy throughout the game, and Bradley Radin made 75 saves on 94 shots. The Jr Monarchs' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, New Hampshire averages 5.9 goals per contest. New Hampshire also got points from Shane Earley, who also had one goal and two assists, Ross Mandigo, who also registered one goal and five assists, Shane Tracy, who also tallied three goals and three assists, Nate Philbrick, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Davis Algra, who also had three goals and two assists, Stephen Wolf, who also registered one goal and one assist, Brett Boyer, who also tallied two goals and two assists, and Michael Bears, who also had one goal and one assist. Brendan Tazumi also scored for New Hampshire. In addition, New Hampshire received assists from Connor Merrick, Brian Greene, Nate OBrien, and Henry Butler, who each chipped in one and Christopher Moquin and Michael Fabie, who contributed two a piece. Salem was led by Bennet Curcuru, who scored the team's only goal. Curcuru scored 51 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Salem. Tom Laus picked up the assist. The Jr Monarchs' Butler stopped 19 shots out of the 20 that he faced. New Hampshire totaled 21 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-5 on the power play. The Jr Monarchs ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Wolf was ejected from the game. The Ice Dogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
