Daniels' big game bests Maksymum in 6-2 Boston Bandits win

Behind a great game by Thomas Daniels, who had two goals and one assist, Boston Bandits defeated the Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester), 6-2.

Daniels found the back of the net 7:17 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while on the power play 11:49 into the third to make the score 6-2 Boston Bandits.

Boston Bandits made Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s goaltenders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 39 shots and forcing 33 saves. Jake Bryniarski made 16 stops and Ian Sylves made 17. Boston Bandits stifled Maksymum's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Boston Bandits additionally got points from Connor Court, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Connor Wiggins, who also registered two goals and one assist. Boston Bandits also got a goal from Colton Hutton as well. More assists for Boston Bandits came via Ian Drexler, Matthew Grzybinski, Brandon Seal, Connor Sweeney, Derek Ridgway, and Davis Zembergs, who contributed one a piece.

Boston Bandits was unable to stop the Junior Hockey (Rochester) from sending pucks towards the net, and Maksymum eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. The Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Maksymum finished with 62 penalty minutes.

The Junior Hockey (Rochester) were helped by Seth Giles, who tallied one goal. Giles scored 6:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Maksymum. Anton Vavenkov provided the assist. Kevin DiMagno also scored for Maksymum. Other players who recorded assists for Maksymum were Thomas Grammatico and Dylan Versage, who each chipped in one.

Ryan McCarthy made 29 saves for Boston Bandits on 31 shots. Boston Bandits incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Maksymum registered zero goals on three power play opportunities.
