Tampa Bay downs Valley, 5-1

Ryan Odgers registered one point to lead the Tampa Bay Juniors to a 5-1 victory over the Valley Junior Warriors.

Tampa Bay also got a goal from Jason Wrbelis as well. In addition, Tampa Bay received assists from Nicholas Reed, Nicholas Frankich, and Zachary Capco, who contributed one a piece and JC Bradley and Ed Kawczak, who each chipped in two.

Valley's offense operated below it season average. The Junior Warriors average 3.8 goals per game.

Valley was led by Brendan Philippon, who scored the team's only goal. Philippon scored on the power play 11:40 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Valley. An interference penalty on Kurt Williams had put the Junior Warriors on the power play. Rory OConnor picked up the assist.

Kyle Gertz rejected 17 shots on goal for Tampa Bay. The Juniors incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Valley's Matt Pearless stopped 21 shots out of the 26 that he faced. The Junior Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
