Clifford's goals lift South Shore to 7-2 victory over Potomac

Daniel Clifford had two goals to lead the South Shore Kings to a 7-2 victory over the Potomac Patriots.Clifford found the back of the net 15:24 into the first period to make the score 2-1 South Shore and again while 1:07 into the second to make the score 3-1 South Shore.
South Shore kept Potomac's goalie busy throughout the game, and TJ Hollen made 25 saves on 32 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.
South Shore additionally got points from Paul Wagner, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Owen Campbell, who also registered one goal and one assist. South Shore also had goals scored by Nicholas Bertoni, who had one and JB Sweeney, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore were Philip Falkof, who had two and Dylan B Burns, Kyle Johnson, and Brandyn Fogarty, who contributed one a piece.
The Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four South Shore power plays. Potomac did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 11 saves.
The Patriots were led by Jack Strycharz, who tallied one goal. Strycharz scored 4:58 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Potomac. Tyler Nolan also scored for Potomac.
Kory LeBlanc recorded 11 saves for the Kings. South Shore incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Potomac incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
