Logan Coomes lifted the Frederick Freeze to a 12-0 victory with a hat trick against the Palm Beach Hawks. Coomes got on the scoresheet 4:29 into the first period. He then added goals at 22:18 into the first and at 18:22 into the second.Frederick forced Hawks' goaltenders to work all game long, taking 55 shots and forcing 43 saves. Adam Silverstein made 23 stops and Stephen Sundberg made 20. The Freeze stifled Palm Beach's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Frederick outdid its season average for goals scored. The Freeze average 4.7 goals per game. Frederick additionally got points from Zachary Pard, who also had one goal and one assist, Ian Soifer, who also tallied one goal and one assist, James Dorrian, who also had two goals and two assists, and Richard Novodomec, who also registered one goal and two assists.
