Zachary Pard had two goals and one assist to lead the Frederick Freeze to an 8-5 victory over the Potomac Patriots. Pard scored at 4:06 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and again while 8:01 into the second to make the score 3-2 Frederick.Frederick kept Potomac's goalie busy throughout the game, and TJ Hollen made 37 saves on 45 shots. The Freeze outdid their season average for goals scored. Frederick has scored at the pace of 4.5 goals per game during the current campaign. Frederick also got points from Reid Bibb, who also tallied two goals and one assist and Logan Coomes, who also had one goal and one assist. Casey Donegan also scored for Frederick. More assists for Frederick came via Eric Gausseres, Adam Gnatowski, James Stiles, and James Dorrian, who each chipped in one. The Patriots' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Frederick power plays. Potomac's offense rang up 36 shots on the Freeze's net. The Patriots were helped by Judd Parker, who racked up one goal. Parker scored 18 seconds into the third period to make the score 4-3 Frederick. Potomac additionally got points from Cameron Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist. Potomac also got a goal from Miles Miller as well. In addition, Potomac received assists from Kyle Powers, who had two and Tyler Nolan and Remi Paine, who contributed one a piece. Michal Marcinek rejected 31 shots on goal for Frederick. The Freeze incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Potomac totaled 35 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-3 on the power play.
