The Frederick Freeze were firing on all cylinders against the Potomac Patriots, and when the final buzzer sounded Freeze emerged with a 6-1 win.

Frederick's Michal Marcinek was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 29 saves and let only one puck past him. Marcinek certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.16 entering the contest.

The Freeze pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 25 penalty minutes.

Frederick's offense rang up 42 shots on Potomac's net. The Freeze got an offensive boost from their blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.
