James Martello netted a hat trick to lead Jersey Hitmen over the Springfield Pics, 6-4. Martello notched his first tally 9:12 into the first period. He then added goals at 13:58 into the first and at 18:41 into the third.Jersey Hitmen led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Jersey Hitmen's Brendan Riley's scored on the power play at 3:30 in the second period to put Jersey Hitmen up 4-1. Jersey Hitmen forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. Jersey Hitmen surpassed its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. Jersey Hitmen's offense rang up 37 shots on Springfield's net. Jersey Hitmen additionally got points from Luke Rodgers, who also had one goal and three assists and Dylan Healey, who also racked up one goal and two assists.
