Novodomec's hat trick boosts Frederick over Jersey Wildcats, 7-3

Richard Novodomec lifted the Frederick Freeze to a 7-3 victory with a hat trick against Jersey Wildcats.

Novodomec got on the scoresheet 1:27 into the third period. He then added goals at 8:10 into the third and at 8:44 into the third.

Frederick made Jersey Wildcats' goaltenders to work without much rest, totaling 64 shots and forcing 57 saves. Gennaro Anzevino made 45 stops and Grant Perry made 12. The Freeze excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Frederick surpassed its usual scoring output this season. The Freeze have scored at the pace of 4.3 goals per game during the current campaign.

Frederick additionally got points from Florian Cotera, who also registered one goal and three assists. Pierce McCaull also scored for Frederick. Other players who recorded assists for Frederick were Adam Taylor, who had two and Ryley Harper, Reid Bibb, Eric Gausseres, and Nicholas Price, who contributed one a piece.

Jersey Wildcats' offense rang up 45 shots on Frederick's net.

Jersey Wildcats was helped by Ryan Morse, who had one goal. Morse scored 2:49 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Jersey Wildcats. Brandon Crawley assisted on the tally. Jersey Wildcats also got a goal from Jack Green as well. More assists for Jersey Wildcats came via William Hoer and Erik Andersson, who each chipped in one.

Daniel Dolliver recorded 42 saves for the Freeze. Frederick incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Jersey Wildcats incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
