Dressell's goals lift Palm Beach to 4-1 victory over Potomac

The Palm Beach Hawks relied on the scoring touch of Axel Dressell, who netted two goals, to beat the Potomac Patriots, 4-1.

Dressell found the back of the net on the power play 23:28 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Palm Beach and again while 14:45 into the second to make the score 4-1 Palm Beach.

Palm Beach's Stephen Sundberg was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 32 saves and let only one puck past him. Sundberg managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 4.79 prior to the game.

The Hawks put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Potomac to score on any of its four power plays. Palm Beach forced the Patriots goalie TJ Hollen to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots.

Palm Beach also got a goal from Michael Visnick as well. Other players who recorded assists for Palm Beach were Joseph Lambert, Mason Brinich, Nick Noback, James Leicht, Tristan Lamontagne, and Jordan Taillon-Hanna, who contributed one a piece.

Potomac's offense rang up 33 shots on the Hawks' net.

The Patriots were led by Miles Miller, who scored the team's only goal. Miller scored 8:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Potomac. Tyler Nolan assisted on the tally.

Palm Beach incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Potomac's Hollen stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Patriots incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
