Atlanta downs Space Coast, 9-0

Zachary Egan registered one point to lead the Atlanta Knights to a 9-0 victory over the Space Coast Hurricanes.

Atlanta put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Space Coast to score on any of its four power plays. The Knights forced the Hurricanes goalie Harrison Vangellow to work between the pipes, taking 82 shots. Atlanta bested its season scoring average. The Knights average 4.3 goals per game. Atlanta's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in four goals.

Atlanta also got points from Christopher Santa Maria, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Jack Trischett, who also had one goal and one assist, Cale Massa, who also finished with one goal and one assist, and James Elias, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Atlanta also had goals scored by Bradley Harley, who had one and Se Kim, who had two. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Patrick MacDonald and Cole Stallard, who each chipped in one and Austin Ventura, Sage Dugas, Nick Elliott, and Ryan Dumond, who contributed two a piece.

Space Coast's offense was handcuffed by the Knights' defensive play, and the Hurricanes managed only four shots on goal during the game.

Lucas Thurston recorded four saves for Atlanta. The Knights incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Space Coast's Vangellow stopped 73 shots out of the 82 that he faced. The Hurricanes incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
