Islanders relied on the sparkling performance of Brenden Tidman in net to grab a 2-1 win against Jersey Hitmen. Islanders was led by Justin Fisher, who racked up one goal. Fisher scored on the power play 19:18 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Islanders. Islanders had gotten the advantage when Jersey Hitmen's Nazhir Gichibekov was sent off for boarding. Jonathan Pate assisted on the tally. Islanders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Islanders also got a goal from Nicholas McNally as well. Other players who recorded assists for Islanders were Keith Barnaby and Cody Reagan, who each chipped in one. Jersey Hitmen did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season.
