Tracy leads New Hampshire over Boston Bandits, 5-2

The New Hampshire Jr Monarchs' Shane Tracy had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-2 win over Boston Bandits.

Tracy beat Ryan McCarthy with a shot 1:41 into the third period on the power play to make the score 3-1 New Hampshire. New Hampshire had taken the advantage when Boston Bandits' Connor Wiggins got sent off for boarding. Nate OBrien assisted on the tally. Tracy dished an assist on Davis Algra's goal that made the score 1-1 at 19:20 into the first period. He added another helper on Ross Mandigo's goal that made the score 5-2 New Hampshire at 19:59 into the third period.

Boston Bandits' power play was ineffective against the Jr Monarchs' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

New Hampshire's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on 13 Boston Bandits power plays.

New Hampshire also got points from Mandigo, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Eric Grover also scored for New Hampshire. In addition, New Hampshire received assists from Adriano Mungioli, who had two and Nate Philbrick, Ty Anderson, and Michael Bears, who each chipped in one.

Boston Bandits did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Boston Bandits averages 4.5 goals per game. The Jr Monarchs were unable to stop Boston Bandits from sending pucks towards the net, and Boston Bandits eventually piled up 36 shots on goal. Boston Bandits was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes.

Boston Bandits was helped by Davis Zembergs, who racked up one goal. Zembergs scored 14:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Boston Bandits. Erik Hajdu picked up the assist. Boston Bandits also got a goal from Brandon Seal as well. More assists for Boston Bandits came via Connor Graham, who had one.

New Hampshire's Dylan Palmer stopped 34 shots out of the 36 that he faced. The Jr Monarchs incurred 40 minutes in penalty time with 15 minors. McCarthy rejected 20 shots on goal for Boston Bandits.
