Ross Mandigo gave the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs a 2-1 (OT) victory over Junior Bruins when he scored 2:20 into the extra period.

New Hampshire's Cole Burack was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 34 saves and let only one puck past him. Burack certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.04 entering the contest.

The Jr Monarchs were led by Mandigo, who finished with one goal.

New Hampshire excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Jr Monarchs were held below their usual level of production. New Hampshire averages 5.3 goals per game.

New Hampshire also got points from Shane Tracy, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, New Hampshire received assists from Christopher Moquin, who had one.

Junior Bruins' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three New Hampshire power plays. Junior Bruins could not produce up to it normal offensive output. Junior Bruins puts an average of 4.5 pucks into the net per game. The Jr Monarchs were unable to stop Junior Bruins from sending pucks towards the net, and Junior Bruins eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Junior Bruins was led by Zach Koonce, who scored the team's only goal. Koonce scored 15:55 into the third period to make the score 1-1.

New Hampshire incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Junior Bruins' starting goalie, Maxwell Barr, made seven saves and finished with the otl before he was taken out in favor of Sam Dargene, who stopped 16 shots. Junior Bruins incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
