Capco's hat trick boosts Tampa Bay over Palm Beach, 10-1

Zachary Capco netted a hat trick to lead the Tampa Bay Juniors over the Palm Beach Hawks, 10-1.

Capco notched his first tally 6:03 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:21 into the second and at 1:36 into the third.

Tampa Bay made Hawks' goaltenders to work without much rest, launching 80 shots and forcing 70 saves. Stephen Sundberg made 38 stops and Adam Silverstein made 32. The Juniors put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Palm Beach to score on any of its five power plays. Tampa Bay outdid its season average for goals scored. The Juniors have scored at the pace of 6.2 goals per game during the current campaign.

Tampa Bay also got points from Jonathan Hall, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Jesse Bafia, who also registered one goal and one assist, Ryan Odgers, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, and Brendan Nicholson, who also had two goals and two assists. Tampa Bay also got a goal from Dylan Longo as well. Other players who recorded assists for Tampa Bay were Nicholas Frankich, who had three and JC Bradley, Nicholas Mattone, and Christian Aunspaugh, who contributed one a piece.

The the Hawks penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 43 minutes in penalty time. Palm Beach surpassed its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game.

Kyle Gertz recorded 21 saves for Tampa Bay. The Juniors incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
