Adirondack vanquishes Boston Bandits in shootout, 4-3 (2-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Adirondack Junior Wings defeated Boston Bandits in a shootout 4-3 (2-0 SO).

The shootout lasted for four attempts between the teams. Adirondack also got a shootout goal from Matt Flynn.

The Junior Wings were often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 17.0 minutes per game Adirondack had been spending in the box.

The Junior Wings were helped by Andrew Mundweiler, who racked up one goal and one assist. Mundweiler scored short handed 31 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Adirondack. Adirondack additionally got points from Sam Vincent, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Adirondack also got a goal from Andrew Bourdeau as well. In addition, Adirondack received assists from Flynn and Liam McGuey, who each chipped in one.

Boston Bandits' offense rang up 47 shots on Adirondack's net.

Boston Bandits was helped by Raymond Wilson, who finished with one goal. Wilson scored on the power play 4:15 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Adirondack. Connor Court picked up the assist. Davis Zembergs also scored for Boston Bandits. More assists for Boston Bandits came via Matthew Grzybinski, Brandon Seal, and Taylor Hale, who contributed one a piece.

Chet Tooker recorded 44 saves for the Junior Wings. Adirondack registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Ryan McCarthy made 20 saves for Boston Bandits on 23 shots. Boston Bandits incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
