Tampa Bay rides Eriksson to victory over Palm Beach, 5-1

The Tampa Bay Juniors relied on the sparkling performance of Emil Eriksson in net to grab a 5-1 win against the Palm Beach Hawks.
Tampa Bay was led by Brendan Nicholson, who finished with one goal and one assist. Nicholson scored on the power play 16:37 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Tampa Bay. A cross checking penalty on Jordan Taillon-Hanna had put the Juniors on the power play. Kurt Williams assisted on the tally.
Tampa Bay excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Juniors forced Palm Beach goalie David Kutnar to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.
Tampa Bay additionally got points from Jonathan Hall, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Ed Kawczak, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Tampa Bay also got a goal from Zachary Capco as well. In addition, Tampa Bay received assists from Nicholas Mattone, who had two and Ryan Odgers and Raven Woodring, who each chipped in one.
The Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.
Eriksson rejected 26 shots on goal for Tampa Bay. The Juniors totaled 33 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 3-for-9 on the power play. Tampa Bay ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Woodring was ejected from the game. Kutnar recorded 38 saves for Palm Beach.
