A hat trick by Mario Fontanella was the highlight in Pics' 8-6 win against the Bay State Breakers. Fontanella's first goal came 3:07 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:04 into the first and at 4:11 into the third.The Springfield Pics excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Springfield's offense rang up 46 shots on Bay State's net. The Pics outdid their season average for goals scored. Springfield averages 3.6 goals per game. Springfield additionally got points from Christopher Sattler, who also had three goals and two assists and Stefan Koproske, who also registered one goal and three assists. Springfield also got a goal from William Carrabino as well.
