Maksymum rips Buffalo, 4-0

Daniel Goldstein had two goals and one assist to lead the Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester) to a 4-0 victory over the Buffalo Stars.

Goldstein scored on the power play at 14:50 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Maksymum and again while 14:13 into the third to make the score 3-0 Maksymum.

Maksymum pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Junior Hockey (Rochester)'s penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Buffalo power plays. Maksymum's defensive play was more effective than usual against Buffalo. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) allow 2.5 goals per game. Maksymum forced the Stars goalie Alec Horwitz to work between the pipes, taking 68 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Maksymum also got points from William Holbrook, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Maksymum also got a goal from Anton Vavenkov as well. In addition, Maksymum received assists from Gregory Miller, Justus Nowak, Thomas Grammatico, Christopher Molnar, and Holvey, who contributed one a piece.

Ryan Morey made 20 saves for the Junior Hockey (Rochester) on 20 shots. Maksymum registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Horwitz recorded 64 saves for Buffalo. The Stars incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
