Alexander's big game bests Maksymum in 5-4 Brewster winBrewster Ice Arena Sun, Dec 02, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Brewster Bulldogs' Brad Alexander had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 5-4 win over the Maksymum Junior Hockey (Rochester). Alexander's tallies came at 18:13 into the second period to make the score 4-4 and short handed 16:27 into the third to make the score 5-4 Brewster.Brewster's penalty kill excelled, as the Bulldogs gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays. Maksymum was unable to stop Brewster from sending pucks towards the net, and the Bulldogs eventually piled up 35 shots on goal. Brewster also got points from Sean Henderson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Robert VanRaamsdonk also scored for Brewster. Other players who recorded assists for Brewster were Kevin McGee, who had three and Francesco Sherding, Brett Barry, and Jonathan Lovorn, who each chipped in one. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) stifled Brewster's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Maksymum's offense rang up 35 shots on the Bulldogs' net. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) were helped by Mikel Williams, who racked up one goal. Williams scored 16:41 into the second period to make the score 3-3. Michael Whitehair assisted on the tally. Maksymum additionally got points from Dylan Versage, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Maksymum also got a goal from Daniel Goldstein as well. In addition, Maksymum received assists from Kevin DiMagno, who had two and Anton Vavenkov, Bryan Carville, William Holbrook, and Seth Giles, who contributed one a piece. Conor Bunyan rejected 31 shots on goal for Brewster. The Bulldogs incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Maksymum's Jake Bryniarski stopped 30 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Junior Hockey (Rochester) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
