Jacques' big game bests Islanders in 6-4 South Shore win

Evan Jacques was all over the ice for the South Shore Kings, as he tallied two goals and two assists in South Shore's 6-4 win over Islanders.

Jacques' tallies came short handed at 16:42 into the third period to make the score 5-4 South Shore and 18:31 into the third to make the score 6-4 South Shore.

The Kings put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Islanders to score on any of its three power plays. Islanders was unable to stop South Shore from sending pucks towards the net, and the Kings eventually piled up 43 shots on goal.

Others who scored for South Shore included Stephen Rocchio, who had one and Daniel Clifford, who had three. Other players who recorded assists for South Shore were Philip Falkof, who had two and Paul Marino, Dillon Gargano, Christopher Oliveira, Arturs Buss, and JB Sweeney, who contributed one a piece.

Islanders was helped by Cody Reagan, who racked up one goal. Reagan scored 9:00 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Justin Fisher picked up the assist. Bradford Anderson also scored for Islanders. In addition, Islanders received assists from Christopher Maksut, Nicholas McNally, David Wilcox, Keith Barnaby, William Platt, Zachary Poorman, and Thomas Missert, who each chipped in one.

Kory LeBlanc made 25 saves for South Shore on 29 shots. The Kings incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Michael Kitts rejected 37 shots on goal for Islanders. Islanders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
