Boston Bandits boosted by McCarthy's play in net, beats Valley 2-1

A stellar performance between the pipes by Ryan McCarthy helped Boston Bandits defeat the Valley Junior Warriors, 2-1.

Boston Bandits pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 16 penalty minutes.

Boston Bandits was led by Raymond Wilson, who tallied one goal and one assist. Wilson scored on the power play 15:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Boston Bandits. Boston Bandits had taken the advantage when Valley's Rory OConnor got sent off for high sticking. Matthew Grzybinski assisted on the tally.

Boston Bandits did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. Boston Bandits puts an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game.

Boston Bandits also got points from Aharon Lara, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Boston Bandits were Connor Graham, who had one.

The Junior Warriors' offense operated below they season average. Valley averages 3.8 goals per game.

In addition, Valley received assists from Matthew Culot and Andrew Sousa, who each chipped in one.

Ryan McCarthy made 27 saves for Boston Bandits on 28 shots. Boston Bandits registered one goal on seven power play opportunities. Matthew Saraceno recorded 27 saves for the Junior Warriors. Valley incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
