Philadelphia rips Adirondack, 7-3

The Philadelphia Revolution were firing on all cylinders against the Adirondack Junior Wings, and when the final buzzer sounded Revolution emerged with a 7-3 win.

Philadelphia was often in penalty trouble, totaling seven minors and one major for 29 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 22.0 minutes per game the Revolution had been spending in the box. Philadelphia kept Adirondack's goalie busy throughout the game, and Crae Messer made 31 saves on 38 shots.

The Revolution were led by Justin Goldstein, who tallied one goal and two assists. Goldstein scored 4:26 into the third period to make the score 6-2 Philadelphia. Kyle Crane picked up the assist. Philadelphia also got points from Connor Bechtel, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Clint Aussprung, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Donald Willier, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Philadelphia also got a goal from Travis Kauffman as well. Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia were Jeffery Mitchell, Nicholas Minerva, and Jamie Crane, who contributed one a piece and Alex Dyer and Chris Connor, who each chipped in two.

The Junior Wings were helped by Sam Vincent, who tallied two goals. Vincent scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:00 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Philadelphia. Andrew Bourdeau assisted on the tally. Vincent's next tally on the power play made the score 7-3 Philadelphia with 10:26 left in the third period. Adirondack earned a power play opportunity when Joseph Kotlarczyk was put in the box for head contact. Matt Flynn picked up the assist. Jarrett Distasi also scored for Adirondack.

Philadelphia's starting goalie, Griffin Strain, made 15 saves and finished with the win before he was taken out in favor of Justin Kirk, who stopped seven shots. The Revolution registered one goal on one power play opportunities. For Philadelphia, Kotlarczyk was ejected from the game. The Junior Wings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
