Odgers nets hat trick, leads Tampa Bay to 14-0 win over Space Coast

Ryan Odgers netted a hat trick to lead the Tampa Bay Juniors over the Space Coast Hurricanes, 14-0.

Odgers got on the scoresheet 12:00 into the first period. He then added goals at 17:50 into the first and at 11:05 into the third.

Tampa Bay led 4-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.

The Juniors' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Space Coast power plays. Tampa Bay forced Space Coast goalie Joseph Herda to work between the pipes, taking 59 shots. The Juniors outdid their season average for goals scored. Tampa Bay averages 6.1 goals per game.

Tampa Bay also got points from Jonathan Hall, who also registered one goal and two assists, Brent Barber, who also finished with two goals and two assists, Austin Teall, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, and Nicholas Mattone, who also had one goal and three assists. Others who scored for Tampa Bay included Nicholas Reed, who had three and Dylan Longo and Roope Hintz, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Tampa Bay were Nicholas Frankich, who had two, Christian Aunspaugh, who had three, and Emil Eriksson, Kurt Williams, Jesse Bafia, Mason Bates, Brendan Nicholson, Zachary Capco, and Ed Kawczak, who each chipped in one.

The Juniors' defense shut down the Hurricanes' forwards for much of the game, and Space Coast got off only eight shots during the contest.

Emil Eriksson made eight saves for Tampa Bay on eight shots. The Juniors incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Hurricanes' Herda stopped 45 shots out of the 59 that he faced. Space Coast incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
