Valley downs Palm Beach, 5-0

Brandon Tuttle tallied one point to lead the Valley Junior Warriors to a 5-0 victory over the Palm Beach Hawks.

Valley stifled Palm Beach's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Junior Warriors' offense rang up 45 shots on the Hawks' net.

Valley also got points from Rory OConnor, who also had one goal and one assist, Brendan Philippon, who also racked up one goal and two assists, and Matthew Culot, who also registered one goal and one assist. Valley also got a goal from Brendan Heinze as well. Other players who recorded assists for Valley were Timothy Perron, who had two and Eriberto Cordero, Drew DiGeronimo, and Luke Miller, who contributed one a piece.

Palm Beach was held below its usual level of production. The Hawks average 3.1 goals per game. Palm Beach's penalty kill unit could not stop Valley's power play, which converted on three of four opportunities.

The Junior Warriors' Matthew Saraceno stopped 17 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Valley incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Stephen Sundberg rejected 40 shots on goal for the Hawks. Palm Beach incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
