Moquin lifts New Hampshire over Brewster, 7-1

Behind a great game by Christopher Moquin, who had two goals, the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs defeated the Brewster Bulldogs, 7-1.

Moquin found the back of the net on the power play 19:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 New Hampshire and again while 4:05 into the second to make the score 2-0 New Hampshire.

New Hampshire put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Brewster to score on any of its four power plays. The Jr Monarchs' offense rang up 47 shots on the Bulldogs' net. New Hampshire got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

New Hampshire additionally got points from Connor Merrick, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Brian Greene, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Eric Grover also scored for New Hampshire. In addition, New Hampshire received assists from Shane Tracy, who had three and Nate OBrien, Davis Algra, Brendan Tazumi, James Jamieson, and Michael Bears, who each chipped in one.

Brewster's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Bulldogs finished with 42 penalty minutes.

Brewster was led by Blaze Vogliano, who scored the team's only goal. Vogliano scored 4:42 into the second period to make the score 2-1 New Hampshire.

The Jr Monarchs' Dylan Palmer stopped 14 shots out of the 15 that he faced. New Hampshire incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Conor Bunyan made 40 saves for the Bulldogs on 47 shots.
