Ice Factory    Sun, Oct 28, 2012

A hat trick by Joseph Lambert was the highlight in Hawks' 9-1 win against the Space Coast Hurricanes.

Lambert notched his first tally 5:40 into the first period. He then added goals at 8:11 into the second and at 18:32 into the second.

The Palm Beach Hawks' David Kutnar was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 46 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Kutnar will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.0 entering the contest.

Space Coast fell victim to a deadly Palm Beach power play, which ripped the Hurricanes for four goals.

The Hawks' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. Palm Beach could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 22 minutes in penalties during the game.

Palm Beach also got points from Joseph Lokken, who also tallied one goal and four assists to lead the team in points and Shane Visnick, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Space Coast was led by Benjamin Ferreira, who scored the team's only goal. Ferreira scored on the power play 14:17 into the first period to make the score 1-1. The Hurricanes had gotten the advantage when Palm Beach's James Leicht was sent off for roughing. Nathaniel Grugin provided the assist.
