Brewster falls to Syracuse in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Syracuse Junior Stars' Tyler OMara scored 3:05 into overtime to beat the Brewster Bulldogs, 3-2 (OT).

Syracuse was led by OMara, who grabbed one goal and one assist.

The Junior Stars' offense rang up 62 shots on Brewster's net.

Syracuse also got a goal from Kyle Bird as well. More assists for Syracuse came via Mike Seifert, who had two and Steven Staversky, Jeremy Wilber, and Benjamin Engelbrekt, who each chipped in one.

Syracuse was unable to stop the Bulldogs from sending pucks towards the net, and Brewster eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. The Bulldogs' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Brewster finished with 24 penalty minutes.

The Bulldogs were helped by Lukas Znosko, who tallied one goal. Znosko scored 8:12 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Brewster. Francesco Sherding also scored for Brewster. In addition, Brewster received assists from Sean Henderson and Matthew Smethurst, who contributed one a piece.

Nate Skidmore recorded 44 saves for the Junior Stars. Syracuse incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Brewster's Brandon Belz stopped 59 shots out of the 62 that he faced. The Bulldogs registered one goal on three power play opportunities. For Brewster, Lombardo Coach was ejected from the game.
