Visnick's hat trick boosts Palm Beach over Space Coast, 6-2

Shane Visnick lifted the Palm Beach Hawks to a 6-2 victory with a hat trick against the Space Coast Hurricanes.

Visnick's first goal came 6:18 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:10 into the second and at 6:43 into the third.

Palm Beach's penalty kill excelled, as the Hawks gave up zero goals despite allowing 12 power plays.

Palm Beach stifled Space Coast's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Hurricanes were unable to stop the Hawks from sending pucks towards the net, and Palm Beach eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. The Hawks' goal total was higher than their season average. This season, Palm Beach averages 3.4 goals per contest. The Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 30 minutes in penalties during the game.

Palm Beach also got a goal from Anthony Lerette as well. Other players who recorded assists for Palm Beach were Kyle Kohlhorst, Justin Jones, and Brett Yochum, who contributed one a piece and Joseph Lambert, Marshall Edmondson, and Joseph Lokken, who each chipped in two.

Space Coast's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Palm Beach power plays. The Hurricanes' offense rang up 37 shots on Palm Beach's net.

Space Coast was helped by Andrew Sorben, who grabbed one goal. Sorben scored 13:35 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Palm Beach. Dillon Johnson picked up the assist. Matthew Montoya-Martin also scored for Space Coast. In addition, Space Coast received assists from Benjamin Ferreira, who had one.

The Hawks' Stephen Sundberg stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Joseph Herda made 40 saves for the Hurricanes on 46 shots. Space Coast incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors.
