Harley's hat trick boosts Atlanta over Potomac, 6-0

A hat trick by Bradley Harley was the highlight in Knights' 6-0 win against the Potomac Patriots.

Harley notched his first tally 7:26 into the first period. He then added goals at 6:45 into the second and at 12:38 into the third.

The Atlanta Knights scored early and often, and held a 4-0 advantage after the first 20 minutes of play.

Atlanta pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 18 penalty minutes.

The Knights forced Potomac's goalies to work between the pipes, getting 56 shots and forcing 50 saves. TJ Hollen made 20 stops and Patrick Anderson made 30. Atlanta's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on seven Potomac power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with four goals.

Atlanta also got points from Zachary Egan, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Kienan Fenton, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Cole Stallard, who also had one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Atlanta were Patrick MacDonald and Jack Trischett, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Potomac puts an average of 2.6 pucks into the net per game. The Patriots struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Knights to score five power play goals on nine chances. Potomac could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 32 minutes in penalties during the game.

Sean Davis rejected 19 shots on goal for Atlanta.
