Junior Bruins rips Portland, 7-1

Junior Bruins had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-1 win over the Portland Jr Pirates.

Junior Bruins was led by Bryan Carter, who tallied one goal. Carter scored 8:02 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Junior Bruins. Ryan OToole assisted on the tally.

Junior Bruins stifled Portland's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Junior Bruins kept the Jr Pirates' goalie busy throughout the game, and Maxwell Boucher made 39 saves on 46 shots. Junior Bruins outdid its season average for goals scored. Junior Bruins averages 4.3 goals per game. The defensemen of Junior Bruins were also effective in Portland's zone, and came away with two goals.
