Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as the Philadelphia Revolution defeated the Connecticut Oilers in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO). The shootout featured six attempts between both teams.Philadelphia stifled Connecticut's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Revolution's offense rang up 36 shots on the Oilers' net. Philadelphia was helped by Justin Goldstein, who registered one goal.
