Philadelphia rolls over Brewster, 8-1

Clint Aussprung was all over the ice for the Philadelphia Revolution, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Philadelphia's 8-1 win over the Brewster Bulldogs.

Aussprung found the back of the net 6:04 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Philadelphia and again while on the power play 9:11 into the third to make the score 7-1 Philadelphia.

The Revolution pulled out the victory even though they were hit with 27 penalty minutes.

Philadelphia's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Brewster power plays. The Revolution's offense rang up 44 shots on Brewster's net. Philadelphia found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Revolution average 5.4 goals per contest.

Philadelphia additionally got points from Connor Bechtel, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Chris Connor, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Philadelphia included William Hayden, who had one and Dylan Pearl, who had two. Other players who recorded assists for Philadelphia were Zachary England, who had three, Ross Asroff, Travis Kauffman, Ethan Weiss, and Justin Goldstein, who each chipped in one, and Alex Dyer and Nicholas Minerva, who contributed two a piece.

The the Bulldogs penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled six minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. Brewster had been averaging 17.0 minutes in penalties per game. The Bulldogs were held below their usual level of production. Brewster averages 3.2 goals per game.

Jared Burch recorded 23 saves for Philadelphia. The Revolution registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Philadelphia ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Dyer was ejected from the game. Conor Bunyan made 36 saves for the Bulldogs on 44 shots. For Brewster, Jonathan Lovorn was ejected from the game.
