New Hampshire squeaks by Junior Bruins, 3-2

The game between the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs and Junior Bruins was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end New Hampshire emerged with a 3-2 win.
Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Jonathan Kostial secured the win for the Jr Monarchs with a goal in the second period.
In the losing effort, Junior Bruins was led by Ryan OToole, who had two goals. OToole scored the first of his two goals at 4:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 New Hampshire. Bryan Carter provided the assist. OToole's next tally made the score 2-2 with -58 seconds left in the second period. Vince DAmato assisted on the tally.
New Hampshire was sparked by Kostial, who racked up one goal. Kostial scored 21:29 into the second period to make the score 3-2 New Hampshire. Connor Merrick picked up the assist.
The Jr Monarchs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. New Hampshire did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Jr Monarchs put an average of 6.1 pucks into the net per game.
Ross Mandigo also scored for New Hampshire. In addition, New Hampshire received assists from Eric Grover, Brian Greene, Daniel Nolte, and Michael Fabie, who contributed one a piece.
Junior Bruins stifled New Hampshire's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.
Other players who recorded assists for Junior Bruins were Kyle Carlson and Matthew Brett, who each chipped in one.
