Junior Bruins downs Jersey Hitmen, 5-2

Ryan OToole tallied two points to lead Junior Bruins to a 5-2 victory over Jersey Hitmen.

Junior Bruins' offense rang up 45 shots on Jersey Hitmen's net.

Junior Bruins also got points from Vince DAmato, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Junior Bruins also got a goal from Benjamin Piecz as well. More assists for Junior Bruins came via Cam Cottam, who had two and Brian Fahey, Zachary Byczko, Kyle Griffin, and Anthony Galloway, who each chipped in one.

Jersey Hitmen stifled Junior Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Jersey Hitmen's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Jersey Hitmen finished with 38 penalty minutes.

Jersey Hitmen was helped by Dylan Stephanik, who had one goal. Stephanik scored on the power play 18:25 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Junior Bruins. Jersey Hitmen earned a power play opportunity when Bryan Carter was put in the box for roughing. Eddie Coxe picked up the assist. Vincenzo Addeo also scored for Jersey Hitmen. Other players who recorded assists for Jersey Hitmen were Chris Peterson, Cody Calcagno, and Zach Morrison, who contributed one a piece.

Sam Dargene rejected 21 shots on goal for Junior Bruins. Junior Bruins incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Christopher Funkey recorded 40 saves for Jersey Hitmen. Jersey Hitmen registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
