Christopher Moquin registered two points to lead the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs to a 4-0 victory over the Buffalo Stars. New Hampshire's defensive play was more effective than usual against Buffalo. The Jr Monarchs average 2.3 goals allowed per game. New Hampshire kept the Stars' goalie busy throughout the game, and Thomas Brown made 63 saves on 67 shots. New Hampshire also got points from Stephen Wolf, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. New Hampshire also got a goal from James Jamieson as well. In addition, New Hampshire received assists from Timothy Ward, Connor Merrick, Brian Greene, and Nate OBrien, who each chipped in one. Buffalo put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Jr Monarchs to score on any of their three power plays. New Hampshire's Henry Butler stopped 19 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Jr Monarchs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Stars incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
